I think this is a great way of sorting out the hierachy of tea estates in India and Sri Lanka. Who would have thought I’d get that from ordering Taiwanese bubble tea (more specifically, a passionfruit green tea with pearls and aloe vera)?
Darjeeling – Considered the champagne of the tea world.
Uva – Known for its sweet, aromatic flavour.
Nuwara Eliya – The land of Orange Pekoe. Beautiful place.
Nilgiri – Known for producing dark and intense tea.
Ceylon – Urm this one I’m not sure…I assume this is the tea from all the other parts of Sri Lanka like Kandy?
Assam – That’s where you get the malty taste of English Breakfast.
